PASS SUMMIT 2025

PASS Data Community Summit 2025 is happening in person, in Seattle, from November 17 – 21, 2025. Are you planning to attend this event?

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?

Professional Development:
The summit delivers unparalleled learning opportunities, empowering employees to master cutting-edge trends and technologies in data management. Staying ahead in this rapidly evolving field ensures your team remains competitive and skilled.

Networking:
Attendance opens doors to meaningful connections with industry peers, experts, and vendors. These interactions facilitate problem-solving, collaboration, and access to innovative solutions—delivering immediate and long-term value to your organization.

Return on Investment (ROI):
Companies carefully assess the ROI of conference participation, weighing the cost against tangible benefits. To secure approval, employees should prepare a compelling case highlighting how the insights gained will drive efficiency, innovation, and measurable business impact.

DO COMPANIES SPONSOR THE SUMMIT?

Even if that depends on individual company policies and budgets, here are some points you can include in your email so your boss or whoever gives the greenlight to consider:

  1. Focus on the value it brings to the team and the company as a whole – from Professional Development to ROIs.
  2. Point out toughest database related issue your company is facing and address how the information and resource from the summit can help address the issue.
  3. Don’t attend everything – the summit is usually 5 days and from the 5 days you could avoid the Pre Conference sessions (usually the first two days of the event) and opt in for the last 3 days where you can pick and choose any session to attend. This will reduce the cost significantly and will be easier to convince your boss 🙂
  4. These sessions are going to be recorded and made available to you, you can bring the resources to your team – one more point for you.
  5. Be prepared to negotiate – some companies may only cover a portion of the costs. A strategic approach could be offering to split expenses, such as transportation or meals, to reach a mutually beneficial agreement

SOME KEY POINTERS:

  • Where? The event will be held on Seattle Convention Center | Summit – 900 Pine St, Seattle, WA 98101 – Planning to reserve your hotel around the area could save you time and money.
  • Who will be speaking on the event: This is one of those events where you get to meet your idol SQL gurus. More than 150 SQL Server experts including Adam Machanic (your sp_WhoIsActive guy), Pinal Dave, Jeff Iannucci and more will be there to learn from.
  • How to register? The cost of attendance varies based on when you register. Currently, a 3-day ticket is priced at approximately $2,000 (as of this publication). While registration remains open until November 21, I recommend securing your spot early—prices may increase, and availability could be limited. Details here.
